At 13:00 (Italian time) on May 17 the 73 Co.R.Um activists left the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border Crossing, headed towards Cairo, from where they will depart for Italy. The convoy entered Gaza, Palestine through the only free open border to the world, Rafah.

During their stay in Gaza, the Convoy took part in numerous meetings and initiatives, always accompanied by the Palestinian Population, who led them through the places recounted by Vittorio Arrigoni, in a Gaza that still shows all the signs of the destruction wrought by the Israeli bombings of Operation Cast Lead in 2008/2009. Furthermore, Co.R.Um took part in the demonstration of May 15th at the Erez Crossing,
