Gaza the Raising Phoenix

The Raising Phoenix is the symbol of Gaza, Palestine.
After years of occupation, and denial of its historical identity, Gaza is now recollecting its flourishing past: archeological research as well as ancient wrtings have proved that Gaza is one of the oldest cities in the world.
Situated in a strategic location on the trade routes like, The Phoenis, symbol of Gaza, the city is born again from its ashes and is taking on a new lease of life. (photo/akashmanews.com)
