Tan
by Marivel Guzman
Sometimes I stare at the camera trying to look inside myself,
and all I could find is pieces of me,
hidden from me,
from the world.
but I try to capture that momentothat deep silence, and all I get,
It’s a shot of me.
The lens can only get so far, just barely reaching
the outer of my skin,
and some of a hint of my soul,
that managed to escape through my eyes.
This is me,
trying to find the other me,
that face I left behind.
A year older don’t cover the scars of my pain,
But a bath of sun,
a little “tan” will do the job 🙂
next time, my camera will find a new me
All cover up by cheers
and lights of the sun.
