Conversing Souls

by Humera Karim

Sometimes things start like a rainbow,
ending in horrifying darkness,
times healing the wounds,
but can’t help the deep scars on the soul.
One can move on,
but the lashes of words,
and humiliation will become nightmares forever.
the hurting words become an echo,
awakening from your deep sleep.
everything that occurs in your life recalls.
The way you were treated,
downgrading your worth
How can man be so cruel?
inviting your tears,
…..with no apologies,
they felt like brazes burning your cheeks.
The heart can never forget, the way it was treated.
the way it  was blamed, and left it all alone.
When there was no ear to listen its sorrows,
No shoulder to cry,
No hand to wipe your tears that keep rolling down.
Then you feel to end the journey of life,
as there is no endurance to walk anymore.
And then you see the light,
….the creator’s smile talking to you
“I created you and I m here for you”,
“You have my ear, my shoulder and my hand,
hold onto me and complete your journey,
concentrate on your ultimate job, and leave the rest to me,
I will make them answer the questions on your behalf,
I am the absolute judge”.
You held onto his hand, and found refugee,
You came out of the tunnel,
Congratulations for your travel to the absolute light.
Even thought, you can never forgive,
But you will never revenge,
You’ll never choose the path of disgrace,
You love the creator, and he loves you
And, that it is your strength.

An excellent piece of poetic prose. Very well knitted and narrated. You got a powerful written expression with beautiful thoughts and choice of words. Hope to see more from you. Well done !
