Why We Write

Why Do We Write?

For many years, I have carried within me a deep need to help people.
We often assume that helping comes only in the form of aid—feeding the hungry, providing shelter for the homeless. But help can take many shapes.

Writing is one of them. Recording the history unfolding before our very eyes is another way to serve others. Our perspectives, our stories, matter. They balance the official narrative. In this age of the internet, we hold the power to distribute truth instantly, without waiting for permission.

Even small acts—like reading to children or the elderly—are a form of help. But the impact goes deeper when the words shared carry knowledge, wisdom, or inspiration. Choosing the right book, the right story, can plant awareness in young minds when they are most open and ready to learn.

But what is awareness?

We live in a crowded, restless world. Cities overflow with noise and technology, skies are polluted, oceans poisoned, and governments corroded by corruption. Wars rage, religions clash, diseases spread. And yet—what are we doing?

Too often, nothing. We have grown numb to the misery of others. Indifference has seeped into our souls. We are too busy. Life slips by unnoticed. One day we wake up and realize—it’s already 2008 (or 2025). We are older. Our children have grown. Our dreams, our plans—where did they go?

Time flew while we worried about sales, fashion, Black Friday specials, and what to buy for Christmas. We were too distracted to notice our lives drifting away. The TV kept us “informed,” our kids were “entertained” and “educated.” All the while, we were unaware, running on autopilot—living inside a program designed by someone else.

But it is not too late.
Snap out of it. Wake up. You—yes, you. You still have time.

Do you see it now?

I write because I want to help you. I am writing for you. I am writing to you.

I am just an ordinary citizen. I am not a politician. I am not a professor. I am not even a “writer” by title. But I write because I must—because I need to share what I know, what I feel, what I witness, and what I learn.

I feel the pain of others. I hear the cry of Mother Earth. I sense the calling of the stars and of our brothers and sisters who also care—who also long to help you.

My words are simple. They are not meant to impress, but to express. They are the language of the ordinary citizen of the world.

And perhaps, that is enough.

Being in contact with nature is a good start.
